Double Glory for Winchester Walking Football at Stoneham!

Winchester Walking Football Club enjoyed a remarkable day at the Hampshire FA Stoneham tournament on 5 November 2025, with both the A and B teams clinching victory in their respective leagues — each finishing with identical records: played 5 games and achieved 11 points.

It was a true team effort across the board. For Winchester A, the goals came from all corners — Barry Poffley leading the way with a three, while Steve Nash, Ian Dowson, and Chris Haynes each added one to the tally.

Meanwhile, the B team showed the same determination and spirit, powered by Graham Newland, who scored all three of their goals to secure the title.

The double triumph underlines the depth and quality running through Winchester’s walking football squads — and the camaraderie that fuels every performance.
