Winchester Walking Football Club Welcomes New Sponsor – Winchester Mobility
Winchester Walking Football Club is delighted to announce a new partnership with Winchester Mobility Limited, a locally owned business based in Winnall.
At a recent training session, business owner Lee Cogan presented a generous cheque to the club, with the sponsorship going towards new kit for our growing squad.
Lee has a long background in the mobility industry and, in September last year, launched Winchester Mobility from Unit 4, Winnall Manor Farm, Easton Lane. In addition to the store, he also runs a popular stall at Winchester Market every Friday, where one of our players first spotted his business – leading to this exciting link-up.
Supporting the Local Community
Club chairman Brian Mustoe said:
“We really appreciate Winchester Mobility’s support to help drive us forward. While many professional clubs carry the names of gambling companies, we are proud to highlight a local business that provides real assistance to all sections of the community.
Their wide range of products – from simple aids to advanced equipment – makes a genuine difference to anyone with mobility challenges, whether short-term or long-term.”
A Football Connection
As well as being a business owner, Lee is a passionate football fan. He played for Andover FC, Andover New Street, Stockbridge, Broughton, Overton, and Ludgershall before injuries brought his playing career to an end at 32. He went on to manage the Arms SMB men’s team (St Mary Bourne), leading them to a league title and three cup final wins in a single season. He now coaches Andover New Street U12s on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Lee said:
“Walking football is a fantastic way to stay active, and I was impressed with the standard of play at Winchester. In my work, I see every day how the right equipment – whether something as simple as a shoe horn or a top-of-the-range wheelchair – can transform someone’s life. Supporting this club felt like a natural fit.”
Looking Ahead
Both Lee and Brian agreed that while injuries are part and parcel of football at any level, there is now more choice than ever when it comes to equipment that helps players recover and stay active.
Winchester Walking Football Club is proud to wear Winchester Mobility’s name and looks forward to a successful partnership both on and off the pitch.
